ALEX A. GARCIA, CPA, President, Commercial Broker and Real Estate Consultant in Miami/Miami Beach. Alex has over 30 years of commercial and high-end residential real estate experience, including head of asset and portfolio management for IRE Real Estate Funds, a national real estate investment company, and Prudential Insurance Company as investment manager for real estate investments and developments.
Alex has been personally involved in over $2.5 Billion of real estate transactions throughout career, including the
development, condo conversion, asset management and disposition of over 5,000 residential units
and over 5 Million square feet of commercial space. Additionally, he successfully handled the resolution of numerous problem loan portfolios representing both the lender and borrower sides during the banking crisis of the late 1980’s and early 1990’s.
A graduate of Florida International University with B.S. and M.S. degrees in accounting and taxation, and licensed as a Certified Public Accountant and Real Estate Broker in the State of Florida. Alex is also a member of the Commercial Realtors Alliance in Miami-Dade County.
Most recently, Alex was President and founder of IL Villaggio Realty, a leading luxury real estate firm in South Beach and served as Chief Operating Officer of Multiplan USA, the United States affiliate of Grupo Muliplan, a prominent shopping mall and residential project developer headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and developer of IL Villaggio Condominiums and Shoppes of IL Villaggio in South Beach, and Bayshore Palms, a 5-acre site in the Brickell area of Miami, where he directed the land purchase, MUSP approval, re-platting and turn-key project sales.
Alex also successfully executed the commercial condo conversion of the Shoppes of IL Villaggio in 2005 as a development consultant to Multiplan USA.
